Relevant Working Experience:
From 1991 to present:
Rising from a Marketing Research Officer to Principal Marketing Research Officer now in charge of the Marketing Research Section of the Board of External Trade. Experience include participating in marketing missions in various markets for agriculture and fish products, heading Tanzania enterprises participating into overseas trade exhibitions, desk officer for fishery and agricultural products. Coordinating PROTRADE (now defunct) of GTZ and the International Trade Centre Horticulture and Spice workshops. Preparation of Supply potential of Tanzania food and beverages and relief items for the ITC organised buyers/sellers meetings intending to respectively promote intra region trade and procurement from the region by international aid agencies.
Other areas include advising companies on the post harvest handling, packaging and quality aspects of horticulture and spices for the export market.
In 2002/2003 – 20003/2004 worked as the Acting Director of Tanzania Trade Centre in London in charge of the Centre responsible for among other things assisting Tanzania companies importing from or exporting to the UK. |
